Electrobras is the largest Brazilian utility and to start its solar program requested STA to design a pilot plant to gather experience and know-how. STA supported Electrobras on deciding the technology and size of the power plant and fully completed both conceptual and basic designs.

STA supported Electrobras on deciding the technology and size of the power plant and fully completed both conceptual and basic designs.

STA carried out the following works:

Conceptual design

  • Block and flux diagrams.
  • Design and specifications of the main equipment.
  • Design and off-design calculations.
  • Auxiliary equipment specifications.

Basic engineering

  • Basic data review.
  • Basic design.
  • Basic plans.
  • Basic budget.
  • Manufacturers and service contractors.
  • Planning.
  • Performance simulation.

Plant funding has been secured.
